Syracuse University Law School’s Opening Ceremony

Education - SU LAwOn Friday, September 12th Nathan Avrunin’s undergraduate college, Syracuse University, will be holding the opening ceremony for the new $90 million law school building, Dineen Hall. The building is dedicated to Robert Dineen, a former Syracuse local who resided in a nearby Irish immigrant neighborhood in the 1920s and attended law school at SU right after graduating high school.

Robert Dineen’s wife, as well as one of their three children, Robert Jr., all attended law school at Syracuse University. Robert Jr. graduated from SU’s College of Law in 1966 and is a SU trustee. The Dineen children donated $15 million dollars in 2010 towards the building’s fund. Friday will not only be a special day for the Dineen’s but also for the Syracuse University law family.

Nathan Avrunin remembers how much time and effort is required to obtain your law degree. Having a building that is conducive to a studious environment is crucial for a student’s success. The pictures prove it is a beautiful establishment and Mr. Avrunin is excited for SU’s law students.
